1800 - 2 April - Jenny Henderson, daughter of Hannah Sollars & James Henderson Sr., marries Philip Ohaver (listed as Chaver in the records) in Greene Co., Tenn.  Philip was born circa 1775.




Hannah – b: 1804 in Missouri (according to census)  - m: Robert Ferguson April 14 1831 Washington Co., Mo. - In 1850 they were in WashCoMo - Children:   Esrom, Malinda (Cook) 1832-1921,  Louisa 1834, Robert, Irvin, Mary, Martha, Susan M. (Wilkinson) 1846-1912  - Hannah Died: ?

Phillip – Phillip,Jr. died: 1829

James – b: 1810 (according to census) - m: Elizabeth Phillips - 1880 Elizabeth & James were living in Amador, Calif. James' occupation was: Bee Raiser, other household members were: Eliz., John P., Emma - Died: 1899, Canoga Park, Calif. - Children: Nancy, Andrew Benjamin, James, C.P., John Philip, Eliza, Mary

Mary –  m: Phillip Lemuel Cummings. Died: ?

Elizabeth Jane – m: John V. Henderson Oct. 21, 1829 St. Francois Co., Mo. - died: ?

Francis –  m: Sarah Jane Garvin 20 Apr. 1836 WashCoMo -  Died: 1863 in Ark. - They had a son, Wm. H. Ohaver 1840-1888 buried:  Stafford Cem., Turley Rd., JeffCoMo. near property of Philip Ohaver

Nancy – m: Mr. Gipson. Died: ?

Margaret Ann – b: ?circa 1815?  - Died: ???1881 - m: ???Thomas Jefferson Graham in 1836 & they went to Illinois.  ???Circa 1865 the family moved to Salem, Nebraska.  ???Margaret & Thomas had children:  Sarah, Ary, Laura, Ambrose, twins Edward & George, Orphelia, Jesse Jane, Delos, Frederick, Andrew???

Sarah – b: 1822 (according to census) - m: William Stafford Oct. 19, 1837 Washington County Mo. - 1840 Census they are living in Big River T. with 2 males in the household one of which is 0-5 years old & the other is 20-30 years old, three females one is 40-50 years old, the other is 20-30 years old & the other one is 10-15 years old.  I assume the 40-50 year old female is Rosanna Ohaver & the 20-30 female is Sarah.  Don't know who the 10-15 year old is as Sarah & Wm. had only been married for 3 years.  The young male is probably the son of Sarah & Wm.  See below for 1850 census.  1880 census lists Sarah as a widow residing in Big River T., JeffCoMo. w/ Wm. age 19 & James age 15 -  Died: after 1880     - Children:  Francis, Jesse, Andrew, Louis, Joseph


1804 - April, 1808 .......a certain piece of land lying in Greene county on the south side of Nolachuckey River and one fifth part of a hundred acre tract formerly the property of James Henderson deceased, said fifth part which I have convey to said Samuel was the part of Jean Henderson since Ohaver which she was heir to of her father James Henderson's land..........(Deed from Rand Henderson)

This indenture made this twenty third day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four. Between Philip Ohaver of the county of Greene and state of Tennessee and William Kilgore of the county and state aforesaid witnesseth that upon the consideration of sixty six dollars and two thirds paid in hand to the said Phillip Ohaver by the said William Kilgore the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged by the said Ohaver he hath bargained sold and delivered unto the said William Kilgore and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell alien and confirm unto the said William Kilgore his heirs and assigns forever, the one sixth part of the land left by James Henderson at his decease. To have and to hold the said parcel of land with all and singular its appertenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and all estate, right, titles, interest property claim or demand of him the said Phillip Ohaver his heirs and assigns forever and the said Phillip Ohaver for himself his heirs agree forever to warrant and defend the title of said land against the title and claim of all persons whatsoever unto the said William Kilgore his heirs In witness whereof the said Phillip Ohaver doth hereunto set his hand and seal in the day and date above written.

1830 MISSOURI CENSUS INDEX - lists two Philip Ohavers in Jefferson County Missouri.  However when I checked the original census on micro-film at the DeSoto Library I could only find one Philip Ohaver in Jefferson County in 1830– and I checked twice to be sure.
