Johnston/Gorham Genealogy

MAY MYRTLE JOHNSTON was born 27 December 1882 in Poseyville, Posey County, Indiana.  She was the illegitimate daughter of Mary Alice Gorham and Andrew Johnston.  On 25 February 1902 May Myrtle married John Jacob Sparks. Mae Myrtle died 6 January 1944 in Miller County, Missouri & is buried in the Eldon Cemetery.

MARY ALICE GORHAM was born 2 August 1862 in Indiana.  Mary Alice came to Missouri with her parents Hannah (maiden name unknown) and Aaron Gorham.  Mary Alice married Jake Gamphor and had two sons.   Mary Alice died 23 December 1929 and is buried in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Eldon, Miller County, Missouri.

May Myrtle - In 1882 in Poseyville, Indiana Mary Alice had an illigitimate daughter, May Myrtle, who's father was Andrew Johnston. May Myrtle married John Jacob Sparks 25 Feb. 1902 in Miller County, Missouri. She died 6 Jan. 1944 & is buried in the Eldon Cemetery.

Loyd J. - born 1897. Married Margaret ?  Died 2 May 1969.

Clifford V. - born 1898  Married:  Iola M. ?  died: 1972

AARON GORHAM - was married to Hannah (maiden name unknown).  Both Aaron & Hannah were born in Indiana. 
Children of Hannah & Aaron:
Mary Alice - born 2 August 1862 in Indiana. She had an illegitimate daughter, Mae Myrtle, by Andrew Johnston.  Later Mary Alice came to Missouri & married Jake Gamphor & they had two sons Lloyd & Clifford.   Mary Alice died 23 December 1929 & is buried in Eldon, Miller County, Missouri.
