SCHROBACK / SCHROBECK - SCHROBACH & WILKE Genealogy

By:  Esther M. Ziock Carroll

EDWARD SCHROBECK was born in 1812 possibly in Germany.  He was naturalized 7 April 1865.  He was a cabinet maker & married to Caroline Wilke.  He died of marasmus 23 June 1866 in St. Louis, Missouri and was buried in Holy Ghost Cemetery.  This cemetery was later moved & when I visited the New Pickers Cemetery office they said that they had accepted some of the transfers from the Holy Ghost Cemetery but could find no record of my Edward Shcrobeck so not sure if he was taken there or not although his wife, Caroline is buried in New Pickers.

CAROLINE WILKE was born in 1814 in Germany.  She was the wife of Edward Schrobeck.  At one time her residence was at 140 S. Broadway in St. Louis.   Caroline died of apoplexy cerebral 17 May 1893 at 1410 Broadway, St. Louis, Missouri and is buried in New Pickers Cemetery

Children of Caroline & Edward:

Elise - born 1 December 1849 in Germany.  Elise married August Ziock 23 January 1868 in St. Louis, Missouri. They had 7 children:  Emma, Lily, Bertha, Clara, August Jr., Theodore & Henry E.  Elise died of Carcinoma Gall Bladder (palpable tumor) 18 February 1927 at 2929 Victor, St. Louis & is buried in New Pickers Cemetery.

Theodor - born 1852 in Prussia

Albert - born 1855 in Pennsylvania  died 10 September 1901 in St. Louis, Missouri
