1898 - 1969

I am trying to locate any picture(s) of my grandfather, GUY THOMAS MARTIN, who was born 1898 in Palmer, Washington County, Missouri.  He was the son of JAMES MARTIN & MARGIE DICUS.

Guy served in the United States Army during WWI enlisting from Leadwood, St. Francois County, Missouri in Co. A, 45th Infantry subsequenly to Co. A, 67th infantry then MG Co., 67th Infantry.  He received an Honorable Discharge with the rank of Corporal in 1919.  Places he served during his tour of duty:  Jefferson Barracks - St. Louis, Missouri;  Ft. B. Harrison, Indiana; Camp Gordan, Georgia;  Camp Sheridan, Alabama; Camp Pike, Arkansas.

Guy Martin married BERDIE HENDERSON, daughter of MARTHA (MATTIE) BRILEY & JAMES MONROE HENDERSON,  in St. Francois County, Missouri in 1921 & they resided in that county for a number of years before relocating to St. Louis.  They became the parents of 11 children 8 of whom now survive,  along with 35 grandchildren & numerous great & great, great grandchildren.

Family members would like to locate any picture(s) of GUY MARTIN, military or otherwise.  There are only two pictures of him in existence as a child but no one, as yet, has been able to locate any picture of him as an adult & his descendants would very much like to know what he looked like.
Guy Martin passed away in St. Louis in September, 1969 & is buried in New Masonic Cemetery, Potosi, Washington County, Missouri.
If anyone has any information or picture(s) of Guy please contact his grand daughter, Esther M. Ziock Carroll .   THANK YOU
