ILONA ZIOK was born in Poland & educated in Germany & has lived in Berlin for many years. She is the daughter of WALTER WALDEMAR ZIOK . Ilona says, "He was born in Noers, Nordrhein, Westphalen but lived after the war in Poland and is buried there.  I have a brother Gregor (polish Grzegorz, as we both were born in Poland and emigrated 1967 to Germany) who has two daughters: Jenny and Sina. I have heard that a part of my fathers family is originally from Ungaria, but I don't know whether this is true. And it was also said that they were poor aristocrats. My father Walter Ziok had 2 sisters and a brother, all live in Poland (Silesia, which was German before the war)."

Ilona is a film director, author & producer.  She is married to Manuel Göttsching, a German musician - Ash Ra Temple. WALTER WALDEMAR ZIOK - Ilona says, "My father Walter Waldemar Ziok, his mother Rosalia Ziok, my mother Erika Ziok, born Erika Wiosna, her children with my father are Gregor and Ilona (me) and my father had another daughter and son before us.  My father had brothers and this family lives in Poland today, in Bralin near Poznan as far as I know. But as my father his brothers were also born in Moers/Germany (river Rhein).
